Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA)
At first glance this looks like an end-run around Congress by creating a secret international treaty that may affect the privacy rights of anyone who has a laptop, ipod or other computer storage, all in the name of counter-terrorism.  So I wonder how the lefty's feel about Obama trashing the Constitution, after hearing them whine for 8 years about Bush doing it.

Tax cheats, liars, and crooks

Tax cheats, liars, and crooks. And the crooks just keep getting crookeder. If Rahm Emanuel had one once of ethical integrity he would resign in shame. Watch him not. I ask you, what justifies a $380,000 paycheck for 6 meetings in a 14 month period in which he did nothing of note? These people have been robbing the taxpayer's till for a decade and nobody noticed.

Federal control

The federal government wants to control the banking industry.
The federal government wants to control the financial market.
The federal government wants to control non-banking companies.
The federal government wants to control the auto industry.
The federal government wants to control the energy industry; natural gas, oil, coal, nuclear and the 'flower powers'.
The federal government wants to control the definition of life and human experimentation.
The federal government wants to control the education of your children, from pre-K through college.
The federal government wants to control healthcare.
The federal government wants to control the food industry. production, manufacturing and distribution.
The federal government wants to control and eliminate individual ownership of guns.
The federal government wants to control free speech.
The federal government wants to control religion by telling you when and where you can and can't practice it.
The federal government wants to control property rights.
The federal government wants to control the election process.
The federal government wants to view you in the collective, not as an individual.
The federal government wants to control YOU.
Do you not see a problem emerging here?
When is it enough?

Lloyd Marcus: My gift to you - and for America!

Join a New Ameican Tea Party protest in your town. If your town doesn't have one, then you should create one!

New song recognizes 'tea party' movement'Mr. President! Your stimulus is sure to bust, It's just a socialistic scheme'

Hello, it's Lloyd Marcus, one of the spokespersons for the Our Country Deserves Better Committee. I'm active with this organization because I believe that Conservatism is compassionate and is the true path to achieving the AmericanDream. Liberalism weakens the human spirit by encouraging people to view themselves as victims.

Besides political activism, my other great passion in life is as a singer, because that's one of the things God gave me the greatest passion to pursue. I've written a new song that I want to share with you called "American Tea Party Anthem." I am a strong supporter of the upcoming April 15th tea parties across the nation and I urge you to attend the one closest to you. Now please take a moment to listen my new song. I hope if you enjoy it that you will share it with others:

Like you I have been so saddened, angered, frustrated and disheartened by the recent actions of our government. The Obama Administration and congressional leadership are destroying the fabric of our nation, which was to built around the concept of promoting freedom of the individual to flourish, raise families, pursue happiness, and engage in commerce and enterprise with as little government control or intervention as possible.

Instead we have a government that is attempting to create a Nanny State of dependency, where whole sectors of the economy fall under government control. We have a government that is inserting itself into the private sector, bailing out companies at its whim and taking ownership in them and then implementing government dictates on how those businesses are to be run. To add insult to injury the Democrats in Washington, D.C. are running up deficits and debt in a way that no other Democrat or Republican administration or Congress has before it.

And now they want to raise our taxes to pay for a mess that we the American people are not responsible for. We did not institute the laws and regulations that pushed banks and financial institutions to give sub-prime mortgages to people who could not pay them - Bill Clinton and his supporters did that during his administration. We didn't ask them to do it, but they didn't care what we thought.

We didn't ask the government to bail out financial institutions that had been poorly managed, in fact polls showed the American public vehemently opposed the bailouts. Then the government flouted us even more by extending bailouts to automobile companies as well. Huge sums were then diverted to foreign banks via Obama's "stimulus bill" that he forced through by insisting it was the only thing that could save America from certain unimaginable troubles.

But they weren't done. They then told us we had to pay for our neighbor's mortgages plus our own mortgages. And even if our neighbor finally paid back their debt, that money wouldn't be refunded to the taxpayers.

And just when you thought they couldn't be any more defiant of the taxpayer and galling in their shamelessness, they then announced they were giving even more taxpayer money to AIG.

They haven't been listening to 'We The People'. They've blown us off, pursued harmful, reckless, freedom-depriving policies, and yet they expect we the American people to foot the bill for their follies.

No more. Enough is enough! I am proud as both an individual American and a member of the Our Country Deserves Better Committee to be fighting back. And again, the best way I knew how was through song. Please listen to "American Tea Party Anthem" if you haven't already done so. I am hoping this song can sweep the nation and serve as a rallying cry for others to join our movement to fight back for the good of our great nation.

With shared love for our country, I thank you for taking the time to read my words and listen to my new song.

Thursday, March 19, 2009 Now You Tell Us, Mr. President!

Imagine that last fall before being elected, Barack Obama had outlined the positions he has embraced since being inaugurated as president. An honest campaign speech could have gone something like this:

Raines, Federal Regulators Reach Settlement

And the guilty go free. What else is new?

Raines, Federal Regulators Reach Settlement

So this guy rakes off some 90 millions dollars, all the while lying and cooking the books to generate maximum bonuses, and then has to pay a symbolic fine using mostly stock options that are significantly underwater, or are covered by insurance.
Charges dismissed.
This is Obama's world.

Rove: The White House Misfires on Limbaugh

"In the face of our enormous economic challenges, top White House aides decided to pee on Mr. Limbaugh's leg. This is a political luxury the country cannot afford, and which Mr. Obama would be wise to forbid. Or did he not mean it when he ran promising to "turn the page" on the "old" politics?"

Goodbye to farmers markets and roadside produce stands?

More control-freak mentality (See 'Atlas Shrugged'). I'm all for safety but the regs should make sense. I don't see why we need a new department. We're already pouring billions into Dept of Agriculture and OSHA and USADA and FDA and...

City people have no idea what a real home-grown egg tastes like, or that it's 1,000 times safer than a commercially grown egg. Same for fruit and veggies. We get virtually all our produce from side road and tailgate markets during the season. The big scares are not from small farms they are from the big agri-corporations.

Interesting that ALL 36 co-sponsors of HR 875 are Democrats. Perhaps liberals throughout the heartland have finally had enough encroachment of their freedom by overzealous control freaks in Congress? The author of the article you cite is even trying to get to take up the sword. I shudder to think that things are so bad politically that I find myself on the same side of an issue as! :-o
