Prosperity and the Credit Culture

Rush Limbaugh is so in the mark, as usual.
First, he talks about the price of Healthcare and why it's so inflated. He uses the example of a $300 bandaid in the hospital.  I happen to know that Medicare pays a monthly rental for oxygen concentrator machines of around $500 a month for people who need to be on oxygen 24/7 at home. But you could BUY a machine like that outright for under $1,000. Does it makes sense to pay $500 a month, month after month?  No way. Why do they do it?  The only explanation is lobbyists, lawyers and politicians have come up with a way to make money.
The list of examples is endless.
If it weren't for insurance that machine would be affordable to the people who need it.  The price is inflated because nobody has to watch the purse strings.
