Bill Press: John McCain Plays the Race Card

There ya go, Bill! Here come da race card! Here come da race card!

Granted, McCain's ad was a cheesy shot at Obama's 'All show and no go' celeb status, of the calibur of empty-headed 'STARS'. No defense there.

But racist? C'mon, Bill. That's a stretch.

But, you see, Obama has laid out the marching orders to his minions by preemptively declaring that 'Breir Rabbit gonna throw me in da briar patch'. They're going to play the Race Card on me! And so here they come. Every nuance of every statement or ad that could conceivably (or inconcievably) be construed as racist will be shouted from the rooftops by his many trumpeters.

Stay tuned, kiddies. It's gonna get funner and funner.

I will state in every post I make on the topic that, Mr. Obama, this is not about race. Don't take it so personally. I really don't give tinker's a damn about your race. It is YOU that has been playing the race card, like a fiddle.

What this is, is about your socialist ideals, your wrong-headed notions about the fight against terrorism by nutcase Islamic extremists and your 'same as usual' Democrat Party ideas on how to bring this free economy down to the level of Europe's socialism. It is about your hidden disgust for the Second Amendment, claiming you support it for 'hunters and sportsmen'. That offends me. That tells me you either don't understand or don't care what the Constitution says. And that bothers me.

Enjoy your fleeting celebrity. Come election time the people of this country will tell you who is right.

Something Big is Happening

Many Americans will probably never see or hear these important words until it's too late. But still, the 'Something Big' is going to happen. What a lost opportunity it will have been to come across this speech only after the fact.

One only wonders what took them so long to play this race card. The racist 'leaders' of 13% of the US population have become very tiresome with their endless victim-itis. What utter nonsense.

The Science of Global Warming in Perspective

Spend a few minutes reading this site and the external links, and if you still believe al gore you should seriously consider checking yourself into a mental health clinic.
The math doesn't lie.  Science doesn't lie.  Only humans do.  Humans with a financial or political agenda at stake. Always follow the money.

"The claim that carbon dioxide is the cause of global warming is so absurd that no amount of lying fixes the numbers. CO2 only causes 0.03°C increase in temperature of the atmosphere." [That's ALL CO2, not just the miniscule amount humans introduce]

"Humans add 3% of the CO2 to the atmosphere, while nature adds 97%. To claim the human addition accumulates to 30%, while the nature addition does not is absurd."

"The public has a responsibility in determining whether social realities are based on rationality or fraud. There are highly visible differences. Rationality doesn't look anything like fraud. Rationality includes explanations and evidence. Fraud is forced down peoples' throats without explanations or evidence based on a fake consensus, which is nothing but mob rule."

"CO2 cap-and-trade schemes were exposed by a recent CBO (Congressional Budget Office) study as creating massive wealth redistribution from the poor and working class to wealthier Americans. Further, according to a MIT study released earlier this year, cap-and-trade legislation introduced earlier in the Senate this year by Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Senator Boxer (D-CA) would cost energy sector consumers an amount equal to $4,500 per American family of four. The same study found a bill sponsored by Senator Lieberman and Senator McCain (R-AZ) would cost consumers $3,500 per family of four. And a new EPA analysis shows the Lieberman - McCain bill would cost up to half a trillion dollars by 2030 and $1.3 trillion by 2050 - and that was based on assumptions designed to low-ball the number, begging the question of how high the real figure would be."

Congress, both Democrats and some Republicans are actively trying to implement this ridiculous cap-and-trade scheme. The time is now to call and/or write your representatives to tell them to knock it off. One call will not be enough. Call daily or at least weekly. Get your circle of influence to join in. We must stop this insanity before it comes to pass.

Congress considers raising pump tax

Congress: Gas tax holiday? Ha! Let them pay MORE tax!
Unbelievable. As the article states, gas tax, including all federal, state and local taxes amounts to about 47 cents a gallon.  With the rapid price increase over the last couple of years, consumption is down, so tax revenues are down, and all those pet projects are running low on cash. The solution?  Raise taxes by as much as another 40 cents!
These people are NUTS!!

1.3 Million 'Drill Now' signatures delivered to Congress

Dear Fellow Americans,

We have some very exciting news to report about our "Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less" movement.

We are pleased to announce that at a press conference on Tuesday at the U.S. Capitol, we presented the House and Senate Republican leadership 1.3 million petition signatures on your behalf.

As you watch the video of the event below, please remember that you have helped to make this all possible. And don't forget to send this on to your friends to show them what we've been able to accomplish together.

Accepting the petitions, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, House Minority Leader John Boehner, and other congressional leaders spoke about the need to produce more American energy as part of a larger American energy plan.

Among the petition signers in attendance were Fred Hughes, a Vietnam veteran and small business owner; Tara Bowman, who owns a cattle company with her husband Daryl; Barbara Windsor, who runs a trucking company that has been in her family for 75 years; and Laura Ramirez Drain, a teacher and proud new American citizen. As representatives of over 1.3
million Democrats, Republicans, and independents, we sincerely appreciate their time and effort.

The campaign for a 21st century secure energy plan is about more than the price of filling our gas tanks. It's about protecting America by cutting off the flow of our dollars to the foreign dictators that control so much of our oil supply .It's about coming together to flex our national muscles to make life better for us, our children, and our grandchildren.

Understanding the importance and enormity of this challenge, our effort at American Solutions has only just begun. As the momentum builds, we will present millions more petition signatures to the Democratic and Republican Conventions later this summer to urge both parties to take action.

As Senator John Cornyn said at the event, you are doing "what every citizen of America has a right to do, and that is to petition their government. To petition for change."

With your help, we can continue to shape this debate, win the argument, and affect real change.

Dave Ryan

Executive Director

American Solutions

P.S. There was some great coverage of our event in the news as well.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell talked about receiving our petition in an interview here.

Princella Smith was also interviewed on Fox Business about our petition delivery, and that can be seen here.

Polls lie

Obama not closing US racial divide

Well that's just great. I wouldn't vote for Obama if he were a purebred blue eyed blonde of the Aryan race because his liberal socialist politics stink to high heaven.  But I'm to be tarred and feathered as a racist because I oppose him? C'est la vie.
"The nationwide telephone poll of 1 796 adults showed that 39% of blacks said there had been no real progress in recent years in getting rid of racial discrimination. Only 17% of whites said the same thing."
That statistic tells me that 61% of black say there has been real progress  in recent years in getting rid of racial discrimination. Why isn't it reported that way?  You'd almost thing that the New York Times/CBS News had some kind of agenda or something.
"A new Washington Post-ABC News poll found Obama leading McCain by 50% to 42% among registered voters nationwide. The poll also had Obama with a a 19-point lead over McCain on the economy, the issue topping the list of voter concerns."
One thing I learned from the 2000 and 2004 elections is that POLLS LIE.  Do not be fooled by the polls.  Fact is, Obama doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning this election.
The reporting of these "polls" is to influence you when you vote. Some people just like a winner. They want to be on the winning side. And they will be influenced to vote for their perception of who the winner will be, based on polls and big media reporting.  I urge you not be be "some people". Do your due diligence and study the candidates and decide which one meets your vision of what's best for America. Don't listen to anyone else.

"Democrats and the media are telling us that we must stop using
petroleum-based fuels because it's causing global warming, it's
making us sick, and it's killing the planet. Harry Reid is telling us that
we have been putting CO2 up into the atmosphere for the past
century and it's built up to dangerous levels. That is simply not so.

What goes up must come down when it's heavier than air. A CO2 molecule i
many times heavier than either nitrogen or oxygen, which makes up
99% of our atmosphere. Carbon dioxide doesn't stay up in the atmosphere, it
falls back to the ground over time and feeds the plant life. The media don't tell you that."

Obama and Gun Control

Obama says: "We can have reasonable, thoughtful gun control measures that I think respect the Second Amendment and people's traditions. I think there's a lot of room before bumping against a constitutional barrier. ... I am not in favor of concealed weapons. There has not been any evidence that allowing people to carry a concealed weapon is going to make anybody safer. ... I wanted to make sure that local communities were recognized as having a right to regulate firearms. The notion that somehow local jurisdictions can't initiate gun laws isn't born out by our Constitution."

"Thus, while I may favor common-sense gun control laws, that doesn't keep me from reaching out to NRA members who are worried about their lack of health insurance."

"I'm a strong believer in the rights of hunters and sportsmen to have firearms." -- Barack Obama

"I knew Obama during the mid-1990s. The first time I introduced myself to him he said 'Oh, you are the gun guy.' I responded 'Yes, I guess so.' He simply responded, 'I don't believe that people should be able to own guns."' -- Professor John Lott, PhD, author of More Guns, Less Crime

"He is going to demand that you shed your cynicism... that you come out of your isolation, that you move out of your comfort zones. That you push yourselves to be better. And that you engage. Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual, uninvolved, uninformed." -- Michelle Obama

Of all of the Obama quotes this one causes me the most trouble:

"As a general principle, I believe that the Constitution confers an individual right to bear arms. But just because you have an individual right does not mean that the state or local government can't constrain the exercise of that right, and, you know, in the same way that we have a right to private property but local governments can establish zoning ordinances that determine how you can use it." [emphasis mine]

Barack Hussein Obama does not understand the Constitution. The Constitution does NOT "confer" rights to the citizen.  This image that the government, in all its benevolence, is granting or conferring our rights to us, smacks of Royalism, elitism and a general disregard or lack of understanding of the intent and purpose of the Constitution. (This is a common thread among liberals).

The Constitution is not about granting rights to us by the government.  The Constitution, specifically the Bill of Rights, establishes a list of freedoms and liberties that Man already has, by definition of his existence.  The Bill of Rights is a list of limits that are placed on government that acknowledges that fact and establishes that government shall never infringe on those God-given rights of Man.

You already have a right to own a gun. Self protection, whether it's from a mugger or a tyrannical government, is an inherent right (i.e., "unalienable").  The Founding Fathers recognized that right and it was their intent to force any government that was established to acknowledge that right and prevent government from ever infringing on that right.

I get so tired of the 'great debate' of liberals and politicians over whether we have a right to own a gun.

How many times must we answer that question?

YES! We have a right to own a gun!

The Second Amendment states unequivocally that government "Shall Not Infringe" on that right.

"You have rights antecedent to all earthly governments: rights that cannot be repealed or restrained by human laws; rights derived from the Great Legislator of the universe."    -- John Adams (1735-1826) Founding Father, 2nd US President

"[The Second Amendment] isn't some archaic custom that matters only to rural Americans who find solace in firearms out of frustration with their economic circumstances." -- John McCain

"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government"

-- Thomas Jefferson, 1 Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

"The very atmosphere of firearms anywhere and everywhere restrains evil interference - they deserve a place of honor with all that's good"

-- George Washington

"Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the act of depriving a whole nation of arms, as the blackest."

-- Mahatma Gandhi

"As to the species of exercise, I advise the gun. While this gives [only] moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise, and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun, therefore, be the constant companion to your walks."

-- Thomas Jefferson, writing to his teenaged nephew.

You know why there's a Second Amendment? In case the government fails to follow the first one.

-- Rush Limbaugh 17 Aug 1993

The whole of the Bill [of Rights] is a declaration of the right of the people at large or considered as individuals... It establishes some rights of the individual as unalienable and which consequently, no majority has a right to deprive them of.

-- Albert Gallatin (Senator 3rd Congress 1793, Jefferson's Secretary of the Treasury), Oct 7 1789
