Al Gore Spins the Earth; Nancy Pelosi Pledges 'Carbon Neutral' House

"Auer explained that water vapour is responsible for 95 per cent
of the greenhouse effect, an effect which is vital to keep the world warm.

"If we didn't have the greenhouse effect the planet would be at
minus 18 deg C but because we do have the greenhouse effect it is
plus 15 deg C, all the time."

The other greenhouse gases: carbon dioxide, methane, nitrogen dioxide,
and various others including CFCs, contributed only five percent of the effect,
carbon dioxide being by far the greatest contributor at 3.6 percent.

However, carbon dioxide as a result of man's activities was only 3.2 percent of that,
hence only 0.12 percent of the greenhouse gases in total. Human-related methane,
nitrogen dioxide and CFCs etc made similarly minuscule contributions
to the effect: 0.066, 0.047 and 0.046 percent respectively.

"That ought to be the end of the argument, there and then," he said."

This is absolute insanity!
"The remaining 24,000 tons of carbon emissions would be dealt with
by buying carbon offsets from the Chicago Climate Exchange.

The pending Fiscal 2008 budget for Congress includes $95,000 for the
carbon offsets, $520,000 for the switch to more expensive renewable
sources for electricity and $2.75 million to revamp the power plant.
The budget also provides for installation of an E-85 ethanol fueling station."
So check out the skinny on the Chicago Climate Exchange

Now guess who is making money off the taxpayer by growing trees and/or by NOT growing corn on his farm?
Senator Richard Luger (R-IN), Lugar is a member of the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Committee.
He (and God only knows how many others) is selling carbon credits reportedly to the tune of $12,000 (so far)
to the same outfit Pelosi wants to buy carbon credits from.
People, you'd better start making some noise with your elected representatives unless you enjoy the idea
of paying a Global Carbon Tax. Contact your Congressman and Senators today.
